CUSTOM LACQUER FINISHES

If our handsome, clear lacquer finish doesn’t fit with your room décor, we offer custom options of Natural Cherry, Deep Rosewood or Semi-Gloss Black. Coloring maple is surprisingly tricky; standard wood stains give very mixed results. So we hired a finishing specialist to work with our Amish craftsmen to develop special toned-lacquer blends with a five-step finish, all tailored to the unique problems of staining maple. And the results are stunning:

• Natural Cherry matches wonderfully with many warmer golden-hued finishes and doesn’t obscure the distinctive grain of our maple.
• Deep Rosewood is a rich, dark, beautifully reddish semi-transparent finish which does not obscure the grain of our maple.
• Semi-Gloss Black is an opaque lacquer finish which has a fine satin sheen.

SAMSON shelves with toned and black lacquer finishes are made to order and take 6-8 weeks to ship. We require a 50% non-refundable deposit for these items.
