THE RADIUSED SUPPORT OPTION FOR TIME-CORRECTING STANDS

The Bedrock Ultra was born when I heard what the 2” Bedrock did for a customer’s $5000 J.M. Reynaud monitors, replacing the Reynaud-designed stands. Staggering improvement! Right then I decided to offer a perfectionist’s Bedrock with 4” thick maple and a huge 3” time-alignment footer. Upgrading the Reynaud presented another challenge. Its elegant cabinet features a dramatic 1" bevel on all sides, rendering our standard, custom machined rear speaker supports unusable. Our Radiused Support Option not only resolved this issue, but also addresses another occasional concern: It will not scratch the rear edge of the speaker. Like our standard rear speaker supports, our fully radiused mounting hardware is precsion machined from solid brass (the same optimized alloy used for our brass footers). Because they require significantly more material and machining to manufacture, our Radius Option costs a bit more than our standard option—and is not quite as good sounding. But this small sacrifice in performance is miniscule in comparision to the jaw-dropping upgrade you’ll hear when you mount any world-class monitor on our Gibraltar or Bedrock stands. Ideal for mounting speakers with bevelled or raduised cabinets (like the Reynaud) or curved cabinets (like the B&W 805).
