Hifiman RE-Zero In-Ear Headphones
“The crown jewel in my in-ear monitor/headphone collection…(bass) smoothness, definition
and refinement that I prefer to the heavy thunderous bass…(bass) extension is quite impressive…
a full and almost liquid smooth midrange…vocals, both male and female, are well defined, full,
rich…treble is more delicate and crisp… an excellent value for the money. The exceptional clarity,
detail, smoothness and natural presentation offered by the RE-ZEROs is well worth the asking
price...” - Musical Musings
HIFIMAN RE-ZERO IN-EAR HEADPHONES
We think RE-Zeros are one of the greatest bargains in high end audio. So transparent and revealing,
they approach the performance level of my $2000 Stax headphone system (my reference for all Mapleshade
recording work) for about $100. The RE-Zeros don’t need a $1200 tube amp to sound great; they match
beautifully with the headamps built into iPods and CD players—and sound more delicate, truthful and
revealing than Sennheiser 800s, Grado 1000s or Beyerdynamic T1s. And, for plane or train travel, the
RE-Zeros isolate far, far better.
Re-Zeros purchased from Mapleshade have been cryogenically treated to significantly reduce edginess from digital music sources.

|I have owned many headphones over the years, top end stax, sennheiser, grado, shure, denon and fischer and all were not portable and often too heavy for extended use. I tried many IEMs to use on the GO and have found that most are irritating to wear. I found fault in cable design and ear plug design. My previous favorites have been Monster Copper, Miles Davis and Etymotic but they all had cable failures, the Monsters are not neutral either. After reading several reviews I decided to try the RE-Zeros and leaned towards the mapleshade version. The possible extra smoothness from the cryogenic treatment and mapleshade reputation at the same cost was a no brainer.
I have owned a pair for 3 years with NO issues. No cable failure and a balanced, neutral sound that does not fatigue. They do not enhance frequencies like many other products, they just produce a detailed, spacious and natural presentation that provide log term enjoyment and not a short thrill. They are so good I bought another pair which can only be obtained from Mapleshade since the Zeros were a limited production.
Overlook these babies at your peril, you can spend much more and get much less...I just hope that if they do fail Mapleshade will still have a pair left :- These make a great gift without an outrageous price, rare in high end audio.|
