In 1982, the CD revolution polarized the audiophile world into digital and analog advocates. The Cyrus R&D team didn't see this as a polarised choice, but rather as a fresh opportunity to embrace a new technology and immediately set to work on pioneering the world's first audiophile CD players. These first good-sounding players evolved through continuing improvement into Cyrus' latest generation designs, the CD-6 and CD 8 players--players that garnered rave reviews and multiple awards from the best of the British audiophile journals. The already excellent -6 and -8 have just undergone a major upgrade to the Servo Evolution (SE) series, incorporating an inhouse-designed, slot-loading CD transport that greatly reduces data errors and jitter--resulting in much smoother, more grain-free treble, captivating transparency, and even punchier, better articulated bass than before.
